Our learning:

Monday:

In the morning we celebrated the Dutch Kings day. Many children came in Orange and all got the Dutch flag with face paint on their cheeks.

We started with making/finishing our crowns and eating some young Dutch cheese. After that we did “Koekhappen”, the children got a cake each hanging above them, with only their mouth they tried to pull the cake from the line and eat it. After that we did a relay sack race (zaklopen). Afterwards, the children ate cake that children often eat at birthday parties. It is a sweet round cake (eierkoek). You decorate it with whipped cream and sprinkles:).

As a last activity we danced to the music “De kabouterdans from kabouter plop”.

It was a great morning outside!
