“No thanks.

Alltid något man snappar upp.

Hello Peacock parents,

We would like to welcome you to the peacocks group for next term!

He is now our pre-school mentor in Matematics and one of the team leaders at Peacocks. He has been in father leave taking care of his newborn daughter and will be back at the pre-school in the middle of august.

Asma: Asma is from Pakistan and has been travelling a lot before she came to Sweden. She has been in Sweden for 6 years now with her husband and her two daughters. Asma has a pre-school teacher diploma in early childhood development specializing in montessori pedagogy. She is in charge of the Arts and Crafts at the pre-school.

Besides working as a teacher at Peacocks, she´s also a teacher at the Dutch school.

She is one of the team leaders at Peacocks and also in charge of the fire safety at the pre-school.

Angelika: Angelika is from Sweden and has been working at the school since it started in 2011. She has a National diploma in Early Years from England and is currently doing a Förskollärar degree at Södertörn Högskola. She enjoys spending time with her family and going to the zoo.

Telephone: The Peacocks´ group telephone number is; 076 7233869 .

First day: The first day for the full time children next term is the 4th of August.

But if children will start later, please let us know.

For the part time children, the first day at the pre-school is on  the 18th of August.

Forms: Attached you find the calender of the new term.

Also we attached the emergency contact form and the photo permission form.

We would like to have the most up to date information, so we would appreciate if you could fill in the forms and send them back to us before the beginning of the new term.

Please informam us also about allergies or special meals.

Signing in: As you know the school has a new system for signing in the children.

Parents tell the teacher with the Ipad that their child is at school so they can check them in and also inform about anything important for that day. In this system we will write down for example  who will pick up your child. We can NOT let your child go home unless we know who is picking them up! This is for their safety.

Sick/off: If your child is sick or off, we would like to know this so we can write it down in the system. You can email, call or text us.

Circle time/activities: To make sure all the children are at school for circle time and the following activities, we like to ask you to bring your child to school before 9.30. We have snack with them at around 9.00 and after that we do our planned activities.

If you should have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We wish you a happy summer and are looking forward to the start of the next term.

Best regards

Hello Peacock parents,

Information from us, week 24

Thanks: We would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for an amazing year.
The children have learned a lot and we have seen them grow. Some will start school and some will stay with us next year. Also we have Hannah and Avneet leaving Sweden to live with their families in England. We wish all of you good luck with the start of something new, a great summer and, for those who stay with us, see you next term!

Last day’s of this term: In the month of June and July we will say goodby to some children.
We would like to ask all the parents to take everything from their child’s’ locker home before summer so we can clean and organize the cloak room for next term.
Everything that is left at the pre-school will be given to the Red cross.
Our last days for this term are; Florentine Friday 28th of June, Savita 30th of June, Asma 4th of July.

Next term: At the end of June the parents of the children that will stay with us, will receive a welcome email from the new classroom and teachers.

Our learning

Summerparty: Last Wednesday we celebrated the graduation of the children that will go to school and the (almost) end of the term.
We hope you have enjoyed all the performances of the children as much as we did.
For this summer party they children have been practicing dances, different songs and did lots of art works in the past weeks.

Math: The children were given more practise in Maths by devising games in which they had to use their mental faculties. We have been doing some games earlier also  in which they had to throw balls thhrough the ring to strengthen their counting ability. They were also given a concept of time by making them familiar with the clock and counting the numbers on it.

Language: We have been emphasising on making children familiar with the English alphabet. We have been giving them sheets with all the letters on it so they could color them and trace the letters.
Also we read the book-The Room on the broom. We used the picture aid to retell the story and do the sequencing as and when their part came in the story.

Important Dates:

Friday 20th of June – Pre school is closed for Midsommar

Monday 7th of July – Summer care at Myrlejonet (Only for those who have submitted their holiday fors for care during this time)
