Dear Flamingoes Parents,
Good Friday to all!
Information from us

May 1st- School closed for national holiday.
May 3rd- Pre school closed for staff development day.
Our theme this week was healthy habits. We talked about what foods were good for us, exercise, and things that keep us from being sick. We watched and listened to videos and songs about healthy eating and each day we focused on a different aspect of keeping healthy.
To develop solidarity, teamwork, and gross motor skills we formed into two teams and played several games involving a ball, a box, and passing.
To develop their interest in nature, food, and science, we tested fruits to see if they floated in water. First with their fruit skin and then without.
To develop their interest in healthy eating and art, we had our flamingoes build their own food pyramid and let them decide which foods were the healthiest.
To develop their imaginations, we played a pretend game where the children needed to act out or pretend to be a word without saying the word. The other children then had to guess what the child was or was doing.
