Hello parents,

Last week and this week where full of festive activities, such as Lucia last week. Thanks for coming to our Lucia party, it was great to see you all and see how big family we have become by now! This week we had a nice Christmas lunch with traditional Swedish food. The children loved it and tried almost everything, except for the pickled herring J.

Besides these special events we did lots of classroom and outside play, we decorated the classroom with stocks, shiny stars and finished our lovely Christmas tree. During the outside play we enjoyed the first snow that has fallen this week! For some this was the first time they enjoyed playing in the snow; making snowballs and feeling the cold texture of the snow.

In the coming weeks we are planning to create your children’s portfolios. In the portfolio the growth and development of your child will be documented. Therefore, we would like to ask the parents who haven’t brought in a binder yet (including plastic sheets) to do this in the beginning of the new year.

This is the last newsletter for the calendar year, so we would like to thank you for your full support during the fall term, wish you happy holidays, and a happy new year!
